The vented backer is a custom-cut piece of corrugated plastic with double-sided foam tape around the perimeter that sticks to the panel and acts as a gasket to prevent wind noise & drag on a vehicle. The backer can flex so you can mount it on a curved surface.
This kit is ideal for mounting your flexible panel to an RV, van, or the roof of a shed or fixed structure.

The backer is exactly the same length and width as the flexible panel. It will add 5/16 of an inch to the panel depth.
